Hi guys,
Q1:
I have shallow marine data ,only with SHOTx SHOTy and OFFSET.
The shot spaceing not contant that recording by RTK.
So how can I use claritas make Geometry.Does it have modules to calculate RECEIVERx RECEIVERy?
If not have modules ,I can calculate the Rx Ry,then I have Sx Sy Rx Ry,how can I make GEOMETRY?
Q2:
When Geomtry had build,the CDP will automatically calculated?Can I edit the CDPx CDPy along straight line?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in replying, you have a couple of options.

1) If it was a towed streamer acquistion of some sort but sp triggered on constant time rather than distance, you could just use a typical distance=velocity/time to calculate the sp interval in metres and set up using the typical 2D Marine geometry method of defining a SP increment/Receiver Increment etc to setup the CDP geometry and offset informatiom.

2) Otherwise you can use the geometry application by setting up a .sht file containing the SP, Source_x and Source_y information, if you open the text file you have using the xedt editor (Text Files) button on the Job's tab of the launcher, and then use the editor tools to import and sde file header into the text file and select sht file (Commands button of xedt editor - select Insert SDE header) and then line up the different columns correctly between the pipe characters of the header(|).
Once you have the sht file correctly configured, set up a .str file this is very simple for a 2D line as you would define 1 streamer with min/max channels and min max offset, these can then be used in the geometry application to define the required Geometry for the line and this can then be written into the trace header using the ADDGEOM module, check Geometry documentation for further assistance and if you have any questions let us know.

Geometry setup from SPS file,with erros.
I'm sure the SPS file is correct,I use it in another soft and checked.
How can I fix this error.

ADDSPS Modules error,I don't know how to make spslist file,the below is correct or not?

Some exprience about SPS input,
Every byte must be correct,if with error the past,check SPS file.
Now new question,How can I edit the CMP_X CMP_Y,I need make it strainght line.

It sounds like you managed to resolve all your questions and get back up and running with the Geometry?

Both the 'Geometry' - 'Set-up from SPS' option and the ADDSPS module require either the 'Input files'/'SPS_FILES' or the 'SPS List file'/'LIST_FILE' parameter to be entered - you can't use both parameters at the same time. If using the 'Input files'/'SPS_FILES' parameter type in a list of filenames to read in, the filenames can include wildcards eg pc9608.*ps to read in pc9608.sps, pc9608.rps and pc9608.xps. Alternatively the 'SPS List file'/'LIST_FILE' parameter can be used, in which case enter the name of a text file (usually *.spslist) containing a list of the SPS files to read in. In the 'Geometry' - 'Set-up from SPS' option if the 'Input files' parameter is specified and the 'SPS List file' is left blank then a spslist file will be created, for use if the files need to be reloaded into the Geometry application at some later stage. Similarly, in the ADDSPS module if the 'SPS_FILES' parameter is specified, and LIST_FILE is non-blank (but the file does not exist), a new SPS list-file will be created for future use. Below is an example of the format of the spslist file from the 'geometry : survey data definition and manipulation' - 'Seismic geometry overview' - 'SPS input files' section of our documentation:

From the 'Make' button in the Geometry application you can create 2D CDP profiles either by straight ('Linear CDP gather') or wiggly ('Wiggly-line CDP gather') line. A wiggly line requires hitpoints, to define where the line of CDPs must go through -> 'Hitpoints' button in the Geometry application. More details can be found in our 2D land tutorial.
