What is the most direct way to convert a segy velocity file to nmo?

Thanks a lot, Marcelo

Hi Marcelo,
segy velocity files can be read into isovels directly; you can then use the 'Re-pick' button to create an nmo output file.

Masood,

One obvious way to export a velocity field with XY coordinates is to create a SegY velocity file.

Alternatively you can use the nmowgf utillity to which can output WesternGeco, EssoV2 and ASCII format velocity datasets with or without XY coordinates. This is well documented in the Claritas Seishelp online documentation and can be found by navigating to seishelp-Utillities-Velocities-nmowgf

Regards

Andy
