SeisCat is a data management tool within GLOBE Claritas that automatically locates seismic files in your projects – in SEGY, SEGD, GLOBE Claritas SEGY or HDF5 format, and allows you to sort, display and interact with them. SeisCat can be accessed via the 'Seismic Data' tab of the launcher, projects are on the left hand side and the data files on the right of the SeisCat window. If this is the first time SeisCat has been open the display can be populated by selecting the orange magnifying glass icon at the right end of the toolbar menu. If needed the SeisCat display can be updated by right clicking on a project and selecting the refresh option from the pop up menu. Highlight the data file(s) to view by clicking with the left mouse button, right click to bring up the pop up menu options. If one data file was selected this can be 'Open with sv' or 'View with seisview', if multiple data files are selected for comparison 'View with seisview' will display the selected data on separate panels in a seisview display. The 'Utils' - 'Plot difference' toolbar menu option in seisview (or XVIEW) allows the user to compare two plots by adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing them.
