....overlay a velocity field on my seismic stack data. Link to this post

The Claritas XVIEW module allows the user to display both the seismic trace vector and a pseudotrace as different panels. As the NMOTRACE module allows you to save a velocity field as a pseudotrace header we can under the utilities menu of an open XVIEW window select display "Plot Header Pseudotraces". This would then display the PSEUDOTRACE generated by the NMOTRACE module (default=VELTRACE) as a seperate panel. The user can then toggle between the trace vector and the pseudotrace. However it is a more effective QC to overlay the velocity field on top of the seismic data, check that the Raster Mode is set to XImage(Local) mode and then from the utilities drop down menu select Mix seismic with display option and this will result in a velocity overlay display.
