The latest stable version of GLOBE Claritas (V6-8) was released to all users at the end of July 2018.
Highlights of the development include :-
• New IMAGE_K2D – 2D Pre-stack Depth Migration module, this is the first full release for this module, whilst all operator controls are implemented the application has not been optimised for speed or memory usage at this stage of its development.
• IMAGE_K2T – Improvements to tapering of operator implemented.
• IMAGE_K2T – Trace normalisation.
• IMAGE_K2T – Improved Anti-alias filtering, allowing the user more control of the AAFilter applied.
• IMAGE_K2T – Edge effect scaling implemented.
• IMAGE_K3D – Improvements to tapering of operator implemented.
• IMAGE_K3D – Trace normalisation.
• IMAGE_K3D – Improved Anti-alias filtering, allowing the user more control of the AAFilter applied.
• IMAGE_K3D – Edge effect scaling implemented.
• IMAGE_K3D – Speed up of application to provide improved performance.
• SEISWRITE – Creates a new table in the HDF5 trace header listing support files applied or accessed during the creation of that dataset in the current flow and previous flows. Links to support, job and data files are live and the relevant editing/viewing tool can be used to launch and view the files.
• Support file table application - New application, available from the ‘Seismic Data’ tab of the launcher or from a right mouse button click on a dataset in SeisCat to enable users to add/delete or view support files interactively.
• CVA/SV/AREAL – These applications update the support file table in the HDF5 file with any support files created by these applications.
• SPSTAT2 – New residual statics application that runs directly from HDF5/CsegY datasets, it is faster and more efficient than the old SPSTAT application and has improved 2D/3D filtering options built in to the application, and is now our recommended Residual statics approach for 3D Land surveys.
• ANGLETIMES – Significant improvements in runtimes to this module, the default for the SPEEDUP parameter has been changed to 4 to give a 14x speedup to the processing time, and then additional code changes have resulted in Fold of CDP times speed up of the runtimes.
• ASCSUR application – Now creates both the S and R SPS files when run, previously the application needed to be run once for the R file and then again for the S file.
• ASCOBL application – Can add a user defined value to the shot_pegs.
• SV writes first break picks directly into the seismic trace header of HDF5 files.
• REFSTAT2D – Can now be run with realtime linkage to SV first break picking, this is currently enabled from the command line by using the command
refstat -allow_reload
and then launch the SV application from within the REFSTAT2D application, this allows users to run the inversion and when it become apparent that a particular
shot or group of traces have poor quality first break picks they can be updated and fed back into the REFSTAT application.
• SYNGEOM – Updated to populate the CDP/INLINE/CROSSLINE and CDP_X/Y headers and also to allow for a sub area of the geometry database to be create.
• VIEWSHF – New mouse button functionality for 3D Isometrix view of statics.
• NMOTRACE - module can now output SegY revision 1 format datasets.
