What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
Yes, sorry, the easting and northing values have had a specified value subtracted from them all - I believe 2630000 from the eastings and 6226000 from the northings. This would have been done when they were created in the ascsur utility. 2 days ago |

What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
thank you I totally understood, I noticed in the headers of the SPS files that you used (map grid northing and map grid easting). are they the same as the usual northing and easting value because they seem quite different ??. did you converted them to another values?? 2 days ago |

What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
To create SPS files from ascii files use the ascobl and ascsur utilities. The ascii files should store the geometry info in a regular column format, the order of the columns doesn't matter. The ascii files for the shot SPS and receiver SPS files should have columns with values for peg number, easting, northing, and elevation. While the ascii file for the relational SPS file should contain columns with the shot-ID, shot-peg, first channel, number of channels, first rec-peg. There are examples in... 2 days ago |

What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
so, what I understood is that I firstly need to create ASCll files that contains the geometry data with the correct formate for SPS files ( which is explained under geometry : survey data definition and manipulation section of the manual) then I need to convert them into SPS files using ascobl and ascsur utilies. Is that correct??? 2 days ago |

What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
The GLOBE Claritas geometry application can read in a variety of input file formats: • SPS – three files: shot (*.s), receiver (*.r) and relational (*.x) • *.sur / *.obl – *.sur land shot-point and receiver point positions, *.obl land shot record positions and channel configuration • *.sht or *.str / *.txy – *.sht marine shot-point or navigation points, *.str marine streamer definitions, *.txy individual trace co-ordinate positions Details on the required format of these files ca... 2 days ago |

What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
I am a student at University of leeds and I am using Claritas as a part of my final year project. I do not have any SPS files so I need to create them from the beginning. I know that I need to create two main text files which contain the source and receiver information then convert them to SPS files. Unfortunately, I have a problem with the correct formate of the text files. My main aim of the geometry is to convert the numbers of Geophons into distances. for example, first Geophone is at dis... 2 days ago |

The option to autopick first breaks from a library shouldn't actually be available in SV. The SV application was designed to replace the older sqc viewing application. sqc included a 'Library' button and allowed the secondary or main pick method to be set to correlation with a library of existing picks. This method worked fairly well for a few shots, but the library would soon become out-of-date. As such this method was not moved across to the SV application when it was created as a replacement... 10 days ago |

CVA can only run once in a project?
There is no limit on the number of times or datasets you can run CVA on in a given project. Could you give us some more info about what is happening when the second seismic line is input into CVA? You can send screenshots of the initial CVA parameter form being used and any messages seen to claritas.support@gns.cri.nz and we can take a look and see if we can figure out what the issue might be. 10 days ago |

CVA can only run once in a project?
Hello, I've got a project that includes several seismic lines. I was able to load up the first line into CVA with some standard application parameters, using an unstacked data file with geometry applied. This worked fine, the CVA program loaded up and I was able to do the velocity analysis. Later when I went to load the second seismic line, using the exact same parameters and the same processing flow on the raw data, the CVA program did not initiate. Am I missing something, or can you only crea... 10 days ago |

Hello everybody, We're currently testing out Globe claritas for our activities. For the first breaks picking, we're wondering if there is a method similar with the Neural Network of Promax or the autopicking in GeoTrust? This means we could pick, say 10 shot gathers for example, and then propagates the picking to all the gathers based on this? We thought this could have been done via the correlation with a library of existing picks but we haven't managed to apply it. Once we've defined it, w... 10 days ago |
