Apply DATUM_FIX module
I want to use both refraction's corrections from the refstat's workflow and the elevation's correction to a fix datum. I use STATIC module only for the the *.shf file output from refstat's workflow, but I also want to apply elevation's corrections for total static corrections. I know that I must use the DATUM_FIX module for elevation's corrections, but I don't see any differencies whether I use or not the module in my flow, because the total static corrections in my traces show no change,... 3 months ago |

Apply DATUM_FIX module
If you can send your jobflow, support files and a sample of your dataset through to claritas.support@gns.cri.nz we can try to take a look and see what the issue might be. 2 months ago |

Avoid removing primary from the data with steep dip using RADON demultiple .
Hi guys when I am running RADON demultiple on data which contains salt and steep dips I am removing considerable primary energy from the salt boundary is there a way to avoid it , the primary energy loss is only at salt boundary and not for and flat geology. 2 years ago |

Avoid removing primary from the data with steep dip using RADON demultiple .
With salt present in the structure you are looking at it is always going to be difficult to define a good velocity model. Which in turn is going to make RADON demultiple tricky. If RADON is being applied pre-migration then this should be very conservative - only looking to remove obvious multiples and keep anything that might be ambiguous. If RADON is being applied post-migration you could try being a little more aggressive with what you remove, but will still need to be careful. If near-offs... 2 years ago |
