What is the format of geometry files for 2d_land?
Yes, sorry, the easting and northing values have had a specified value subtracted from them all - I believe 2630000 from the eastings and 6226000 from the northings. This would have been done when they were created in the ascsur utility. 4 days ago |

Which moudle can remove linear noise
The FK_FILT module can be used to truncate the FK-spectrum either by a dip filter (specify DIP, ignore VERTICES) in which all events with dip > DIP (in ms/trace) are removed, or by defining a polygon containing the filter reject- or pass-band (leave DIP blank, and enter the vertices of the polygon). The FKMUTE module can be used to mute the FK spectrum of the supplied data either at, above or below a polyline, or inside or outside a polygon. This will probably be the easiest module to define fo... 1 year ago |

Which Tutorial to Start With?
We currently provide four main tutorial datasets; the A, B and C tutorials cover land data, and the D tutorial is for marine data. The A and B tutorials are in an older format and deal mainly with engineering scale data. The C and Marine tutorials both deal with large scale exploration datasets, and utilise a wider range of tools and techniques. For most users, we'd suggest you start with either the C, or D (Marine) tutorials. These are provided as GLOBE Claritas format archived projects; to... 8 years ago |

Why HDF5
Why start using HDF5? GLOBE Claritas has always been a seismic processing software built on open file formats; we had simple ASCII files for meta-data, and an "extended SEG-Y" for the seismic. Actually "extended" is the wrong word; we'd supplemented the 3200-400-240+trace file structure of SEG-Y (rev 0) with some additional "hidden" files. We added: • Index files, which allowed random or non-sequential access, like sorting • History... 2 years ago |

With the release of IMAGE_K3D and the upcoming IMAGE_K2D, depth migration is now available on your desktop
We have put some focus on depth migration in the last couple of releases, with IMAGE_K3D in V6.7 and our dev team working on IMAGE_K2D for V6.8, we will have fast efficient 2D and 3D PreSDM replacing our old 2D PRESDM module. When combined with OpendTect Pro's Velocity Model Building application an effective depth imaging solution is provided, for an overview of VMB and the IMAGE_K3D module see the attached link :- https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/desktop-psdm-processing-velocity-model-building... 9 months ago |
